After moving into a newly purchased home, the owners were left with a completely blank slate of a backyard that lacked personality, structure, and functional outdoor living space. They wanted a complete transformation that balanced relaxation and entertaining with a dedicated, secure gardening area.

The Weekend Carpenter turned the empty yard into a multi-functional retreat by installing a custom composite deck featuring an integrated hot tub and a sleek, clear glass awning over the patio doors to block rain and snow without compromising natural light. To support their gardening goals, Richard constructed a enclosed, fenced garden area that protects homegrown crops from local wildlife and pets—creating a stylish, practical outdoor oasis the clients love.
